Recreativo 3 Real Murcia 2

Unfortunate is the word I think sums up this result. Up against adversity, Real still managed to be in the game right up to the end. I'd even go as far as to say that if we played Recreativo 10 times we would win 9 - we were unlucky that this was the one time they would win.

Recreativo's goals....the first a fortunate rebound after some weak defending, the second a clear offside missed by the linesman, and the third a penalty - giveable, but a massive exaggerated dive, followed by a straight red for Oscar (who maybe wouldn't have been in the position had Mauro not hobbled off injured)......all avoidable. We looked half asleep for the first 20 minutes, and struggled.....but bossed the remainder of the game and probably desrved at least a point. For long periods of the second half Recreativo were outplayed.

Recreativo de Huelva:

Real Murcia:
Javi Jiménez - Molinero - Mauro (Mario Marín 51') - Jorge - Óscar Sánchez - Nafti - Matilla - Emilio Sánchez - Nico Martínez (Sutil 66') - Chando (Saúl Berjón 45')  - Ruso

Goals:
1-0 Chuli 8'
2-0 Chuli 44'
2-1 Matilla pen 56'
3-1 Rubio pen 78'
3-2 Cristian García 82'

Referee : Mr. Péres Pallas. Poorly assited by his linesman (who allowed a bleedin obvious offside goal), he influenced the result. Recre's Morcillo went through the back of Ruso and was booked, than did the same or worse a couple of minutes later.....and got away with it. Why? We should have been 11 against 10. The referee also had no idea about playing advantage. Ruso, fouled by a defender, got through to be one on one with the keeper.....only to be called back for the foul on him. I really don't get why many refs at this level don't get the basics.

Att. Just 4.271 at the Nuevo Colombino in Huelva. Sunny day, two decent sides, new season getting into gear....so a truly pathetic number. What's the excuse?
