Real Murcia 0 Numancia 0

Despite the result we are clearly improving, defensively at least. Numancia created nothing at all, even against 10 men only for most of the game. Only one team tried to win, and that was Real Murcia.

Real Murcia : Javi Jiménez – Molinero – Mauro – Catalá – Oscar Sánchez – Acciari – Matilla – Emilio – Sutil (Nico 63’) – Kike (Saúl 80’) – Ruso Garcia (Jorge 45’)
Numancia : Herrerín – Malón – Jaio – Regalón – Juanma (Bonilla 63’) – Nagore – Antonio Tomás – Bedoya (Junior 80’) – Del Pino – Cedrick – Natalia (Pedro 66’)
Referee : Mr. Mariscal Sánchez. Yet again we have a referee with zero criteria. He failed to book Cedrick for a clear, deliberate handball, yet booked the same player a few minutes later for something far less obvious. He was very quick on the draw for yellow cards against Real, but parsimonious and unwilling to show the same to Numancia. He sent Mauro off after Natalio cleverly conned him – and despite being a good 5 or 6 yards outside the box, awarded a penalty (only to be corrected by the linesman). The standards are awful – and getting worse. You just don’t know what the rules are. Each ref has a different set.
Just over 6,000 at the Nueva Comdomina.

  1. I was at the game on Saturday and as you say could not believe the refs decisions I had a good view of the sending off & could not understand why he was sent off and for the final resulting free kick but we should still have won the game with ten men in my opinion very chilly night in Murcia as well.
