Real Murcia 2 Valladolid 0

Relief. At last we managed to gain some points - against a very disappointing Real Valladolid side. The improvement against Almería and a little more luck both in defence and in attack (which is still our weakest link) meant the cuchillos were put away for another week. Both goals came from defender Oscar Sanchez - somewhat ironic after Christian Garcia's bad misses last week and Chando's zero goals so far this season.

Real Murcia:
Alberto
Molinero - Jorge García - Oriol - Óscar Sánchez
Iturra - Richi (Aguilera 77') - Albiol (Nico 56') - Pedro
Emilio - Cristian García (Chando 71')

Real Valladolid:
Jaime
Balenziaga - Valiente - Rueda - Peña
Nafti (Aquino 74') - Víctor Pérez - Nauzet - Sisi (Jofre 79')
Marquitos (Bueno 59') - Manucho

Goals:
1-0 Óscar Sánchez 27'
2-0 Óscar Sánchez 54'

Referee : Mr. Amoedo Chas. Annoying referee - one of those who feels obliged to whistle for anything. So any challenge with contact. Let Valladolid forward Manucho get away with constant diving, and an obvious elbow on Jorge.

Attendance: Nueva Condomina just 7.077 bothered to turn up. I know I'm like a broken record, but....we have over 10,000 season ticket holders. I think our home gates are being badly effected by the fact they are all live on local TV. Can't be good for the club at all. It must be cruel for the players too. Under pressure after a bad run, train hard all week, to come out of the tunnel to see that the city just doesn't seem to care. We have a nucleus of very good support (the 7,000) - but all the rest are only fairweather at best. Imagine - a beautiful day, interesting rival, no Madrid or Barcelona game to use as an excuse, you have already paid your ticket....but can't be bothered.

Best moment of the afternoon (goals apart) the brilliant Juan Aguilera dribbling past 3 or 4 with no space at all. Deserves a run in the side.
