Écija 0 Real Murcia 2

Decent victory, although not without difficulty, Alberto pulling off a couple of good saves, and our players having to deal with a truly awful playing surface. Écija put us under severe pressure after Mario Marín was dismissed, had their chances to equalize, but were caught out on the break, Abraham squaring to Pedro to calmy place the ball home.

Écija:
Ramón
Portela - Juan - Óscar - Ramírez (Víctor 78')
Nando (Pizarraya 57') - Moya - Requena - Bello
Jonan García - Plata (Juan Pablo 68')

Real Murcia:
Alberto
Mario Marín - Gotor - Ivan Amaya - Óscar Sánchez
Cámara - Richi (Abraham 59') - Albiol - Cañadas (Góngora 73')
Pedro - Chando (Carles 77')

Goals:
0-1 Cañadas (8')
0-2 Pedro (90')

Referee : Mr. López Acera. OK but sent Mario Marín off with a pathetic second yellow, you can't send a player off for something so soft....

Updated table below.

  1. still reading THE BLOG from Gatwick# missed my plane coming back from qpr preston~ shamblesrail couldnt get me from clapham to gatwick in 2 and 3///4 hours rant rant rant so I had to go to a pub quiz in Brighton#. Which football team was originally known as Small Heath? clue ~ they beat chelsea this weekend.
Check out the 2 Adel Taraabt goals against Preston-even my mate from the North End Soul crew says they were brilliant.

Good to see Real Murcia winning again#I went to the San Roque match and said before the game I wanted Canyadas (english keyboard) to play and was impressed, but thought it wise to substitute him as he was tackling wildly and on the verge of a double yellow. Didnt see today's game but agreed with the team selection.
What twats the Murcia press are#I,m sure I know more about football than their sports commentators-I sometimes think they not at the same games. Sign up Michael Whale or his Spanish equivalent. Loved the Pat Methany

Roll on Lucena and Cardiff and the 06 50 flight

  3. We only saw the second half on TV, but a good away win. Couldnt believe the sending off, but only got one quick replay of it. Overjoyed to see the second one go in as they upped their game for the last period. Much respect to the dozen or so away fans who kept singing throughout! Should now be 4 "comfortable" games before Xmas. PETE

  4. I notice that Spain [&Portugal] are now favourites as World Cup hosts. I also note that according to one source there were plans to increase the Nueva to 40,000+ if chosen as a WC venue. Whats the word on the ground on this - cant see that the club could afford or justify the increase. Apparantly its 14th biggest stadium in Spain?!? After seeing England fail pitifully in the summer it was great to spend a couple of weeks in our Spanish res and see the semifinal and final with the locals in Pilar de la Horadada- finally put 40 years of hurt to rest!! :-) PETE
